Developmental Volleyball Program

Learn fundamental skills (passing, setting, hitting, serving).  Learn to play the competitive game.  Have fun preparing to play in high school, club, and beyond! 

The EDGE offers a summer program as well as a spring program that runs parallel to club season (early February to mid May).  We use these programs to prepare inexperienced, or rec-league players for the game of competitive volleyball. 

SUMMER - THE EDGE YOUTH DEVELOPMENTAL LEAGUES

Summer Program Summary

• Program for entering 3rd-8th graders
• Boys are welcome! Co-ed program.
• Each 6-week session is $350/player
• Qualified CLUB COACHES 
• Practice 2 hours, twice a week (schedules TBD)
• Last three weeks of each session will have Scrimmages on Saturdays (schedule TBD)
• Tryouts will determine proper team placement (no cuts)
• Learn competitive, transitional volleyball:
  • Serve/Serve-receive formations
  • Different offenses and defenses
  • Understand the positions and how they interrelate
• HAVE FUN!

SUMMER 2024 SESSION DATES:

• Session 1: 5/25/2024 – 7/6/2024
  • SESSION 1 is UNDERWAY
  • Evaluation: 5/25/2024 – 9:00 -11:00 AM
  • Scrimmages: 6/22/2024, 6/29/2024, 7/6/2024
• Session 2: 7/22/2024 – 8/31/2024
  • SESSION 2 is UNDERWAY
  • Evaluation: 7/13/2024 – 2:30-4:30 PM
  • Scrimmages: 8/17/2024, 8/24/2024, 8/31/2024

Spring Developmental Program

• Program for ages 9-14 
• Boys up through 7th grade are welcome! Co-ed program.
• Season begins in February and runs to Late April/Early May (depends on final tournament schedule)
• Qualified CLUB COACHES 
• Practice twice a week
• Two to three local tournaments
• Program will practice all together for February in a Skills Camp style - Teams will be formed with individual practice times beginning in March
• Learn competitive, transitional volleyball:

  • Different offenses and defenses
  • Understand the positions and how they interrelate
• HAVE FUN!
• Fee is all-inclusive.

SPRING REGISTRATIONS OPENS IN January

We always give our email newsletter subscribers early access to registration.  Last season, our program filled up on the first day we we sent out the newsletter.  We never got as far as posting registration to this page, nor advertising on social media.
